Job Description

The general function of the Teen After School Site Director is to Manage the daily operations of teen specialty after school programs including but not limited to developing presentation materials, recruiting teen participants, presenting to local community organizations, supervising staff, managing accounts receivable, and planning teen service projects.

If you are an energetic and inspirational leader that enjoys working with teens and leading staff, come and be a part of the YMCA Teen After School program as a Site Director. They oversee the day to day operation of teen camp, teen staffing, teen program quality, policy and procedures, and minimum standards. Candidates must maintain staff/participant ratios, foresee and manage potential safety concerns and is to maintain control of group activities at all times. They help develop program curriculum in compliance with licensing and grant funding and plan and facilitate teen camp activities, field trips and special events while mentoring teens. They also plan and supervise service projects while incorporating teens' input among other duties as assigned.

Requirements

Requirements for this position include a basic knowledge of computer programs such as Microsoft Office, good phone etiquette and interpersonal skills. Candidates must qualify to be a licensed on site After School Director under TDSHS minimum standards. A minimum of 21 years of age with 2 years of leadership responsibilities. This position requires the ability to stand for long periods of time, adjust from sitting to standing with ease, and the ability to lift and carry at least 30 lbs.
